Romans 8:39 – 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There is no question that when we are in the field, regardless of the hunt, the beauty and majesty of God is all around us. Enjoying the privilege of the hunt, whether it be for deer in South Dakota, ducks in Arkansas, or chasing a big Tom in Alabama, I am always reminded by his natural majesty that there is no separation from the love of God, which is Christ Jesus our Lord. He is there on the long drive to the camp, on the deer stand, in the beauty of the sunrise, and in the quiet of the early morning fog. In the solitude as well as the camaraderie, He is there.
As an outdoorsman, we are privy to so much of God’s splendor, finding so much peace in His creations. However, the most beautiful and fulfilling peace you can experience is peace offered by His promise that we will never be separated from Him and His love. The next time you are in God’s glorious creation, don’t forget His promise, there is no separation from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus out Lord.
